MANGO MULE RECIPE

THAI MANGO GINGER MULE (MOCKTAIL): A healthy and herbaceous mocktail, this Thai Mango Ginger Mule is a sophisticated non-alcoholic drink perfect for any occasion. It blends the natural sweetness of ripe mango with the spicy kick of fresh ginger and bubbly soda water, the zing of fresh lime, and the aromatic notes of Thai herbs like mint and lemongrass.

It’s a stylishly refreshing drink, ideal for garden barbecues, social gatherings, or anytime you crave a delicious, healthy beverage.

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

  • 60ml (4 tbsp) Ripe Mango Purée or good quality Mango Juice
  • 25ml (1.5 – 2 tbsp) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 small piece of Fresh Ginger (about thumb-sized), thinly sliced
  • 10-12 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 thin slice of Lemongrass (optional, for a more Thai aroma)
  • 150ml (approx.) Soda Water, chilled
  • 1 tsp Honey Syrup (see Note) or to taste
  • Plenty of Ice Cubes
  • Garnish: A sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime

Note

  • Honey Syrup: To make honey syrup, simply mix equal parts honey and hot water (e.g., 2 tbsp honey with 2 tbsp hot water) and stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Let it cool before use. This helps the honey mix into the cold drink evenly.
  • Lemongrass Prep: To get the most aroma from the lemongrass, bruise it slightly by pressing down on it with the flat side of a knife before slicing and muddling.
  • Make it a Cocktail: For an alcoholic version, simply add a 50ml shot of vodka or a good quality white rum to the shaker in step 2.
